The Winter
Olympic Games, which have had place the last month, have been quite famous and
quite polemical. What refers to sportive activity, a sport practice has
featured above the other ones: Curling. Since the Olympics, there have been a
lot of curling arrangements around the world to promote this sport and, what is
more important, a lot of people have been attracted by it; people who even didn’t
know that it exists.
This news
has caught my attention because I am one of these people who have discovered
the sport during the Olympics and now I think it is very interesting. I don’t
mean that I didn’t know that this sport existed, but I knew nothing about the
sport; in fact, my prejudices made me think that it was a stupid sport. This is
what we often think the ones who practice majority sports like football or
basketball. Sport is culture and every sport has got its own values, its
difficulties and its personalities. For this reason, I consider really
important to know and practice different sports and don’t judge unknown sports
too quickly.
